This deployment is a disaster recovery plan solution. It could complement or expand the design of the Shopping Center IT Architecture project, but in this case, it’s a real-world production setup based on Veeam Backup as the primary backup destination for two data centers, one backing up the other. It uses Pure Storage arrays and copies VMWare and KVM virtualization infrastructures and databases with Oracle Real Application Cluster.
Each data center has secondary backup sites. The primary site uses a point-to-point connection with a nearby NFS provider, while the secondary site uses an AWS-S3-based backup provider.
